SLA's primary goals are to help information professionals learn new skills, align with the values and language of the communities they serve, and connect with their peers and other industry stakeholders in mutually beneficial relationships. SLA's Website is critical to achieving these goals, so it must be as agile and responsive as the people it serves.
SLA staff are currently redesigning the site to ensure it keeps pace with our evolving profession. The redesigned site, which will be launched later this year, will feature a simpler and more user-friendly interface so SLA members can easily find the resources they use most often: membership benefits, information about events and learning opportunities, and networking and career tools. The redesign will further enhance the member experience by providing new tools and features, such as an association-wide calendar and mobile accessibility.
Note: These and other improvements will not affect the database that stores and manages SLA member information. The interface between the Website and the database is not tied to the Website redesign; instead, it will be addressed separately. This means that the redesign will not alter how unit leaders utilize login or reporting mechanisms or generate reports.

I think it is about time the changes to the site are happening. Will the site be made using responsive web design (RWD) and will it also incorporate progress enhancement (PE)?
I hope Info Pros are aware of these technologies that are impacting the web today. However, if you're not, just let me know and I will be glad to explain.

I think they should include RWD since most companies are going for it these days.
