Another jam-packed day of learning and networking at SLA 2012. Here are a few of the day's highlights:
There are *two* career connection sessions today. Learn how to make the most of your resume in "Your Resume as a Marketing Tool: Make It Count!" with speaker Diane Goldstein from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. And from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. learn "The Art of Negotiation" from Mary Ellen Bates. Both career connection sessions take place in CC 253D
Full conference attendees (please bring your ticket) can enjoy a complimentary networking lunch in the INFO-EXPO from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a great chance to make connections and visit with exhibitors.
Come to the leadership orientation to hear speakers on association modeling, leadership recruitment, and the value of SLA membership. All attendees are welcome to stop by and be inspired. Hilton Continental Ballroom AB, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Cabinet meetings for the divisions and chapters follow the leadership orientation. Unit leaders request and receive reports, advise the board on matters of chapter and division interest, and initiate proposals for board consideration. Individual chapter and division cabinets meetings, which run concurrently from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., are followed by a joint meeting that begins at 6:45 p.m. Open to all SLA members.
