While wireless internet is offered throughout McCormick Place, electric outlets are not made publically accessible by the convention center.
SLA and its partners have taken steps to provide convenience-charged alternatives.
Charging Station: Look for it in the registration center. This station will be the perfect place to get a turbo charge on your smartphone or tablet. An iPhone with a depleted battery will be fully charged in about 15 minutes.
This Charging Station is provided thanks to SLA 2012 Silver Sponsor, NewsEdge.
Social Media Lounge: Aside from a great place to relax and catch-up with friends, you can use laptops wired with high-speed internet, follow the conference Twitter feed, and enter an exciting contest. There will also be power strips for use as you desire. You can't miss this beautiful lounge in the registration area. Please be considerate, and allow others time and space to use them as well.
The Social Media Lounge is provided thanks to SLA 2012 Gold Sponsor, ProQuest & Dialog.
Cyber Connection: This space is perfect for checking (and responding to) e-mail, accessing the conference planner, and printing out session descriptions. Look for Cyber Connections in the SLA Registration Area and in the INFO-EXPO Hall.
Thank you to Elsevier for making the Cyber Connections possible at SLA 2012.
Additional Alternatives: Look for additional areas designated by signs in the registration area.
Operating hours for these spaces will follow the hours of registration (except the Cyber Connection located in the INFO-EXPO). Hours for registration and the INFO-EXPO are listed in the final conference program.
