On Monday March 22, three Library of Congress librarians, including former SLA President and 2009 SLA Hall of Fame Recipient Donna Scheeder, were honored by U.S. Senator Kaufmann on the floor of the Senate.
Donna was also featured as the Honoree of the Week for Kaufman's Great Federal Employees Initiative, a weekly tradition by the Senator to honor federal employees for their lifelong and unsung dedication.
This is an incredible honor, and we are so proud of to have such great representatives of SLA working in so many different Federal agencies!
The text of the official Congressional Record is available online. Thank you to our friends at the Congressional Research Service for submitting the video to SLA-TV.

Congratulations to Donna Scheeder! Well deserved and great to see she and other librarians are being recognized for their and all librarians' contributions. Wonderful to have the video posted so we can all see the formal recognition. Nice photo of Donna too!
