David Stern - Candidate for President-Elect - Question #1 Imagine you have just finished your term on the SLA Board of Directors, what did you accomplish?

One key success measure would be developing stronger member awareness and involvement; particularly in activities which align our efforts with the important priorities of (1) providing continuing education for all members, (2) engaging all members in broader industry-wide conversations about elements such as viable future infrastructure designs and price models, and (3) developing deeper R&D collaborations between working librarians and industry players that will influence the future of the field. I would be delighted if I had inspired a few more people to volunteer to serve because they believed that they could make a difference.
