Nice to be at SLA

I am the new kid at SLA headquarters and wanted to introduce myself.  I'm Maura Kennedy, and I am the new SLA strategic communications director.  I come here after 21 years at American Red Cross national headquarters; before that, I was a book editor, newspaper copy editor, and congressional aide. 

I started August 18, and so I am just getting my feet wet, but so far I love it here.  I especially enjoy being able to work around and with lots of intellectually curious people who share my love of information.
