And the Envelope Please...

It is a thrill and an honor to inform you that two of SLA's outstanding leaders won prestigious awards tonight at the London Online Conference's International Information Industry Awards ceremony.

Rachel Kolsky, President of SLA Europe, has been awarded the evening's highest honor: Information Professional of the Year! The award "recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the information profession over the past twelve months."

In addition, Neil Infield and his Business and IP Centre Team at the British Library took home the award for the Best Team in the Academic and Public Sectors.

I am incredibly proud and grateful to be associated with such stellar professionals (and delightful individuals) who still find the time and energy to contribute so much to SLA.

Please join me in hearty congratulations and a big cheer for Rachel and Neil, they truly deserve all the praise and honor that we can heap on them!
